5 Days Lodge Safari

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel to start your safari to the Tarangire National Park. The park is roughly the size of Luxemburg and covers an area of about 2,600 km². Bush savannah, seasonal swamps and giant baobab trees make up the landscape of this nature reserve and the park is probably one of the best places in East Africa to see elephants. Not only they are found in thousands but also they seem to be more accustomed to the vehicles, and for this you can be closer to these gigantic animals.  It is not only the elephants rather a varied numbers of animals such as to Masai giraffes, various gazelles, antelopes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, baboons and more than 500 types of birds make this the one stop solution for both the bird and the animal lovers. After an extensive game drive you will leave the park in the late afternoon and drive to Farm of Dreams lodge: https://farmofdreamslodge.com/ Pamoja Farm Lodge (picnic lunch and dinner included), where you will spend the night.

Day 2: Karatu to Northern Serengeti National Park

After breakfast we will drive to Northern Serengeti national park via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you might stop for a breath-taking view over the Ngorongoro Crater before you continue to the Serengeti National Park. We will head towards the far northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park area to the Kogatende area (Serengeti Migration Area). Day 3:  Full day Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Mara River)

Early morning breakfast and then depart for game drives in Kogatende /Mara river area with your expert guide. The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Kogatende area from Mid-July to October. depending on rainfall patterns. A long stretch of the Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park and the Mara River provides the migration with its most difficult obstacle. Witnessing the frantic herds of wildebeest crossing the Mara River is amazing.

Day 4: Northern Serengeti (Mara River) to Central Serengeti

Early morning breakfast and then depart for game drives in Kogatende /Mara river area with your expert guide. Many visitors only want to see the river crossings, but the true spectacle of the migration is more than 1,245,000 wildebeests, 200,000 Burchell’s zebras, 18,000 elands and 500,000 Thomson’s Gazelles filling the entire stretch of landscape. The shifting columns of the herds as they traverse the valleys and the hills can only be watched in awe. There is nothing else like this on earth. After lunch we will drive back to central Serengeti. Day 5: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After breakfast you will drive in direction of the Ngorongoro Crater and as soon as you have reached the edge of the crater, the caldera opens up before you. We will descend into the crater with picnic lunch. Inside the world’s biggest caldera you will see a diversity of wildlife ranging from black rhinos, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, lions and leopards, to elephants and mountain reedbucks in the forests on the slopes. You might also see buffaloes, spotted hyenas and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a game drive you will leave the crater and drive Arusha (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)  for overnight stay.
