INTRODUCTION
Mt. Aconcagua is the highest peak in the world outside the Himalayan range. The name Aconcagua, is an indigenenous Quechua word meaning ‘The sentinel of stone’. Your climb to the top of the Andes range will be rewarded by breathtaking views of Chile and Argentina far below the 6960m summit. This tour will follow the ‘Normal Route’, which is the least technical – but remains a tough climb.
Clients should be fit, prepared, tenacious, have some experience of snow and ice. The climb involves the use of crampons and an ice axe.

JOINING POINT & TIME: Day 1, you will be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to the hotel in Mendoza.

FINISHING POINT & TIME: Tour ends in Mendoza after breakfast on Day 19.
ARRIVAL TRANSFERS: Arrival transfers are included in Mendoza (departure transfers are also included).
PLEASE NOTE The climbing permit is not included in the cost of the tour. Climbing permit The Natural Renewable Resources Direction (DRNR) of the Government of Mendoza, manages the Provincial Aconcagua Park and issues the climbing permits. When paying for your permit in Mendoza, all members of the expedition must apply in person (Passport required). Payment in credit cards or travellers checks are not accepted. |
